JJ Cale bootlegs online

Just in case somebody doesn't know, there are a bunch of JJ bootlegs as low quality WMAs at: http://tela.sugarmegs.org/alpha/j.html

I dig them, and I know JJ is fine with bootlegs. I just wish he released all the stuff that he has in his archives! The last tour was recorded in it's entirety, for example.

  1. Man! This is awesome, I didn't know this site.
And congratulations for your blog, this is really interesting.
I'm a fan of JJ Cale since 1985 at least and I learned the guitar, playing along Cale's songs. I'll try to help you if I can.
    Thank you again!

  2. Hi!
I am a big fun of JJ Cale, his the best blues-rock musician ever! On the YouTube I recently found a fantastic video about the 2004 JJ concert at the Gothic Theatre, Englewood. I so wonderfull and so different from the studio versions! And I am desperately trying to find a torrent for it on the Internet, but I hadn't succeed. Could you guys help me, where can I find this bootleg concert album, or even buy it, if it necessary? This would be a little difficult, 'cause I am writing from Budapest, Hungary, Europe...
Thanks for the help! Fine home page!

  3. Thanks for the comment!

I do have it (2 CDs), and I bet many others do too. Let's hope there is a way for you to get a copy... but please don't buy bootlegs.

  4. Thanks for the cool site. Glad to know JJ's okay with boots. I recorded 2 shows on the last tour and have around 40 altogether. Up for trading. :-) I also figured out the chords to 'Fancy Dancer' if anyone wants them. Verse: B/F#/E/B. Chorus: Ab/E/F Ab/E/E/F#/B. Not certain about the second measure of E in the last line of the chorus, but the rest I'm pretty sure about. play it and let me know what you think.
