Rio (JJ Cale)

OK, I am (olympic) game, I'll give this timely song a try:

It's a 12-bar blues in D#m:
D#m D#m D#m D#m
F#m F#m D#m D#m
G# F#m D#m D#m

And the 8-bar bridge is:
F#m D#m F#m D#m
F#m D#m D#m D#m

The intro slide appears to be between the 4th to b3th in the key of C#. Like sliding from 5th to 7th and back on the 2nd string.

The solos appear to be from C# minor pentatonic.

....And if it ain't, just let me know, as usual! :D

Bringing it back from mexico

I've so far not touched the songs that have been in the two Cale songbooks. But this one I have seen the songbook version, but I don't play it the same, I think. Plus I tabbed out how I hear the bass part.

So here it goes, the main part goes like this:
[E]Thirty days has September[E][A][Asus4] [A] [E]

Where the latter part of it chord stab by chord stab:
[E][A][Asus4]    [Asus4][Asus4][A] [E] [A]
where the last A might be optional, but fits nicely.

The bridge is:
[G][D][A]....[G][D][A]....

Bass line is something like this:
E.... G A (G) , E.... D A
...which is same as this:
D:----------------5-7-5---------------------
A:-7777-7-77----------7777-7-77-5---
E:------------------------------------------7-
Bridge is:
E G D A... D B A... G D
equating to this as tab:
D:---5------------------------5--
A:-7---5-------5---------------5
E:--------5-55---7--5-55------
